WWE.Com have posted an article about the Divas appearance on ‘Extra’ which recently just aired. The Diva match has officially been announced for Wrestlemania!
It’s on! Beth Phoenix, Eve to face Maria Menounos, Kelly Kelly at WrestleMania XXVIII
WrestleMania XXVIII just got an Extra-special addition to an already action-packed event.
Maria Menounos didn’t back down from an open challenge made when Divas Champion Beth Phoenix and Eve crashed the set of NBC’s Extra at The Grove in Los Angeles.
After Beth and Eve interrupted Thursday night’s telecast while Kelly Kelly was being interviewed, the Divas Champion dared Menounos and her longtime opponent to a match at WrestleMania XXVIII. Unfazed by the heated confrontation, Menounos accepted as a live audience cheered on the hostess of Extra, the nationally recognized leader in entertainment news.
WWE officials have confirmed that a tag team match pitting Menounos and Kelly Kelly against Beth and Eve will take place at The Show of Shows on April 1.
Menounos has never been one to back down from WWE competition, having clashed with Phoenix twice before, including a shocking pinfall over The Glamazon in an Eight-Diva Tag Team Match at WWE Tribute to the Troops last December. Both occasions provided Menounos an opportunity to prove she’s more than capable of holding her own in a WWE ring.
Now the entertainment show anchor will get a chance to tangle with Beth and Eve on The Grandest Stage of Them All. And you can bet Kelly Kelly will hold nothing back in a battle with two of her fiercest rivals in the Divas division. It all shapes up to be one the hottest clashes in Miami at WrestleMania XXVIII.

Extra featuring the WWE angle is currently airing on NBC in New York City:
They opened up with a clip of Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres being held back by security from Maria Menounos while she was filming a segment with Kelly Kelly. Kelly was just standing there.
They promised to show some shocking footage later. I am guessing that footage leads to a tag match.
They showed footage of Maria introducing Kelly and interviewing her. She was asked who her top competition was going into Wrestlemania. Kelly said that Beth Phoenix is the champion, so it would be her.
hey showed a clip of Eve and Beth, made to look like a camcorder shot, walking into the interview. Eve told Maria that she should be interviewing people who matter. Phoenix said she was the champion and should be interviewed. Maria reminded her that the last time they crossed paths, Maria pinned her. They aired a clip of the footage.
Beth grabbed Maria by the chin and told her she was going to interview them. At that point, security grabbed the heels and pulled them away as Maria told her they weren’t in the ring and you can’t touch her like that here.
The villains challenged her and it ended up with a match for Wrestlemania being set. Maria laughed after, asking what she’s gotten herself into. Kelly promised to have her back.
